Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel contract at a community hospital, with Cerner and circulator experience required.

Details

• Community hospital setting with 16 operating rooms
• Surgical services include General Surgery & Bariatrics, GYN, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, Spine, Robotics, Thoracic, Peripheral Vascular, and Pediatric procedures
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Circulator role required
• Charting via Cerner (experience required)
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility may be required

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Circulating experience required
• RN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is conducted on day shift for 1–2 weeks before transitioning to nights
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Indiana residents are considered local candidates and may be eligible at a different pay package
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — 90 days for out-of-state residents and 180 days for in-state residents
