Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel contract at a community hospital, with Cerner and circulator experience required.
Details
- Community hospital setting with 16 operating rooms
- Surgical services include General Surgery & Bariatrics, GYN, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, Spine, Robotics, Thoracic, Peripheral Vascular, and Pediatric procedures
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
- Circulator role required
- Charting via Cerner (experience required)
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility may be required
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Circulating experience required
- RN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is conducted on day shift for 1–2 weeks before transitioning to nights
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and may be eligible at a different pay package
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — 90 days for out-of-state residents and 180 days for in-state residents
