Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience with Epic proficiency and active VA or compact license.
Details
- Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- EMR: Epic experience required
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license (pending license will be accepted for consideration)
- Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (candidates may be considered with certification pending; note there is an out-of-pocket cost of $185 associated with this certification)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Peds PACU experience highly preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must be comfortable floating across a wide range of pediatric care settings in accordance with their clinical experience
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience is a plus
- Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per contract; no RTO will be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
- Every other holiday coverage is required
