Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience with Epic proficiency and active VA or compact license.

Details

  • Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
  • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
  • EMR: Epic experience required

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license (pending license will be accepted for consideration)
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
  • Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (candidates may be considered with certification pending; note there is an out-of-pocket cost of $185 associated with this certification)
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
  • NICU experience required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Peds PACU experience highly preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidate must be comfortable floating across a wide range of pediatric care settings in accordance with their clinical experience
  • Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience is a plus
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per contract; no RTO will be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Every other holiday coverage is required

My phone showed her number as spam and I think blocked some of the texts I wish it hadn't have done that but that was nothing on her end all on mine so make sure that you have your settings to allow the calls and texts from spam
