Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma Magnet hospital in Springfield, IL, with day shifts Monday through Friday and no weekends.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) setting within a 562-bed acute care, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated hospital
- Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday, no weekends
- On-call required approximately 1–2 times per week
- Floating within skill set is required of all travelers, including to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Charting is performed using Cerner
- Scrubs are provided for this role
- Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; must be in hand or in active application process
- Current BLS certification required; AHA or Red Cross accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside 50 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- Candidate must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- All requested time off is subject to manager review and approval
- Hospital does not accept travel pairs
