Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at an acute care hospital in Minnesota, requiring ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital ICU setting with 5 beds
• Patient ratio of 2 patients per RN
• Common diagnoses include stroke, STEMI, and non-STEMI
• Experience with drips including Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and Vasopressors required
• Ventilator experience required; unit uses Hamilton C-1 vents
• EMR: Paragon Hospital and Allscripts TouchWorks
• 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights (07:00–19:30 / 19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• All 7 major holidays observed and will be worked into the schedule
• Float requirement to Med/Surg
• Telemetry/monitor techs available on unit
• Hospitalist in-house; RT on-call after 6:00 PM with 10-minute response
• Pharmacy in-house until 10:00 PM, remote support available after 10:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• BSN not required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, and TNCC
• Proficiency with ICU drips including Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and Vasopressors
• Experience with mechanical ventilation required

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Royal Blue for RN
• Floor-specific orientation is 1–2 shifts
• No charge nurse assigned to the unit; nurse aides available as needed
• No IV team on-site
