Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital radiology department, requiring 2+ years of experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department performing CT imaging for both adult and pediatric patients
- Outpatient and inpatient CT coverage with 2 inpatient CT Techs and 1 outpatient CT Tech on shift
- Procedures include a full range of CT exams across all areas of the facility
- Equipment includes Canon/Toshiba CT scanners and Fuji Synapse PACS
- Epic EMR is used for charting
- 12-hour day shifts alternating Monday–Wednesday and Wednesday–Friday, with shift times of 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 8:30 AM–9:00 PM
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- No on-call required
- Must be able to start IVs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- WV state license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to perform IV starts
- Valid driver's license with an address at least 50 miles from the facility
- A current, unexpired copy of driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 supervisor reference; if the candidate worked a permanent position in the last 12 months, one supervisor reference must be from that facility)
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies across all patient care areas for both adult and pediatric populations; IR imaging is limited to adults only
- Radiologist is in-house from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and on-call from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- No lead tech on-site; department is overseen by a Radiology Director/Manager
- Orientation is generally up to 2 weeks depending on experience
- Black scrubs are required for all technologists
- Radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by the staffing agency; the facility does not supply one
- Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
- Travelers who have worked within the WVU system for a cumulative total of one year must also take a 2-year break before returning
