Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of hospital experience for a night shift position in a hospital respiratory therapy department in New Jersey.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department
• PM/night shift: 7p–7a, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts)
• Some weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• No on-call required
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or physician office experience
• Required certifications and licensure: RRT or CRT (NBRC), NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, BLS, and ACLS
• Active NJ license required if applicable
• Computer literacy required
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care with emphasis on pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP devices
• Support requests for continued supply of durable medical equipment (DME) such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers
• Assist with patient training on inhaler use and DME equipment setup
• Work closely with physicians as part of the care team
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
