Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring strong, recent home health experience, OASIS and Epic EMR proficiency, and a valid NJ RN license.

Details

• Home health setting serving patients recently discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities
• Primary diagnoses and procedures include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical care, and orthopedics
• Productivity expectation is 6 visits per day or equivalent (e.g., admissions count as 2 visits)
• Day shift schedule, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• Every 5th weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• OASIS documentation experience required

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license accepted in NJ
• Minimum 2 years of recent home health nursing experience required
• Med-surg clinical skills required
• OASIS experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required
• COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions accepted
• Flu vaccination required; no exemptions accepted
• Two current professional references required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to home health required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing visits to patients transitioning from hospital or nursing facility care
• Caseload includes complex patients requiring wound care, disease management, and post-surgical follow-up
• No mileage reimbursement is provided for this position
• 13-week contract
