Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a surgical IMC/PCU unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and dysrhythmia management skills, working night shifts at a large academic medical center.

Details

• Intermediate care (IMC) level surgical unit specializing in surgical, urology, and thoracic patients
• Provides pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care on the unit
• Multi-level care environment covering adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Floating required to units of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
• IMC/PCU experience required, with surgical patient population experience
• Dysrhythmia management skills required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• ACLS and 1–2 prior travel assignments are preferred but not required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• If your resume lists PCU experience, be prepared to clarify the type of patients cared for (e.g., surgical)
