Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry travel assignment in Arizona, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active AZ or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting on a MS/Tele unit with 16 beds
- Patient population includes medical/surgical telemetry and post-surgical cases (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.)
- 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
- Weekend rotation required alongside core staff
- Holiday coverage required on an A or B rotation schedule
- Charting is done in Cerner
- Floating may be required to a sister facility in Mesa, AZ
- Respiratory therapy (RT) available 24/7; pharmacy available 24/7 (remote after 6pm)
- No vents, no IV team, no call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; pending certifications not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract confirmation
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (determined by driver's license address)
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
- A pass/fail Sim Lab assessment (sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes) is required on Day 1 of orientation; study guides are provided
- Candidates who were directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
