Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Hickory, NC, requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of experience and specialized skills in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures.
Details
- Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-week travel contract
- 8-bed Cardiovascular ICU on the 2nd floor of a 355-bed acute care hospital
- Adult and geriatric patient population with specializations in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
- Patient ratio of 2:1 with occasional 1:1 assignments
- Specialized equipment includes Impella, IABP, and CRRT
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- Every other weekend required, with flexibility to meet facility needs
- Floating required per scheduled rotation
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred
- Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of CVICU experience post-orientation
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Proficiency with CVICU-specific equipment (Impella, IABP, CRRT)
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Strong critical thinking skills essential
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Level 3 trauma facility and a Duke LifePoint Hospital
- Scrubs of any professional color are acceptable
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
