Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department, working Monday through Friday day shifts.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scan department within a diagnostic imaging setting
• Procedures include CT scanning, contrast media administration (IV and through other body cavities), and portable radiographic procedures throughout the hospital including med/surg, cardiac care, and emergency units
• PACS operation and image transmission duties included
• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification in CT or Radiography
• BLS/BCLS required; ACLS and PALS may be required
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Experience with contrast media administration, patient positioning, and radiographic technique selection
• Proficiency with PACS systems required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing patient condition prior to procedures, selecting proper exposure technique, ensuring consent forms are completed, and charting exam results in patient records
• May assist with teaching radiography technology students on proper procedures, equipment operation, and anatomy
• Patient transport assistance to and from the imaging department may be required
• Participates in quality assurance monitoring and outcome recording
