Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time travel assignment at a vascular and heart outpatient clinic in Denver, CO, requiring NMTCB or ARRT/NM certification and at least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience.
Details
- Outpatient vascular and heart clinic setting in Denver, CO
- Monday through Friday day shifts, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Maximum of 6 studies per day with support staff assistance
- Charting performed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- NMTCB or ARRT/NM certification required
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association required (must not expire prior to start date)
- Active state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with patient immobilization, image quality evaluation, radioisotope preparation and administration, and radiation safety measures (ALARA)
- Experience with sterile technique and infection prevention protocols
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn relevant applications
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include operating Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment, performing and coordinating NM procedures, preparing and administering radioisotopes per Radiologist protocol, and submitting images and clinical information for interpretation
- Maintains accurate records of radioisotope receipts, use, storage, and disposal in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Follows Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety
- A personal radiation monitoring dosimeter (badge) is required for this assignment; candidates are encouraged to use an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment when available
- Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
