Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in California, requiring Epic EMR experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of a 320-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call required: 2 nights per week (post-shift) and 1 weekend every 2 weeks, totaling 7 on-call days per 2-week pay period
• Weekends required every other weekend, with the possibility of more frequent weekend assignments based on unit needs
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1.5 years of Cath Lab RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of total employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Scheduling requests based on outside employment will not be accommodated
• Former permanent staff of the Providence health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
