Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams.

• Labor & Delivery unit at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
• Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Floating between all facilities within California is expected and required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring; AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• Must be able to circulate in the OR
• Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Travel pairs will not be considered
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• Scrubs are provided for L&D; RNs in other roles wear navy blue
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible but should be aware a different rate may apply
• Minimal to no RTO is preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact consideration
• All RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment
