Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Float position covering MRI across multiple hospital buildings
- 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, with hours varying based on coverage needs (e.g., 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
- Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
- No on-call requirement
- Charting via Epic
- Siemens MRI equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience
- Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
- License required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Level 1 Trauma experience is preferred
- Scrub colors: teal top, black bottom
- Parking is free on weekdays; nights and weekends require a one-time $20 parking pass
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any facility in this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
