Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a 107-bed acute care hospital in Mayfield, KY, requiring L&D experience and multiple certifications.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting, part of the LifePoint Health system
• 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit with patient ratios per AWHONN standards
• Patient population includes OB, nursery, and occasional Gyn surgery, breast reduction, and abdominoplasty cases
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses MediTech EHR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in KY or a Compact state license currently in hand
• Required certifications (AHA): ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• Required certifications: AWHONN, HWC
• Minimum 1 year of L&D/OB nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, including OB, nursery, and occasional Gyn surgical cases
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
