Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a NICU position at a children's hospital in Oregon, requiring prior travel experience and NRP certification.
Details
- NICU position within a children's hospital facility
- Patient population includes neonates and infants under one year of age
- Floating required to PICU, Pediatric Acute (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow locations within the Legacy Health system
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
- Weekend requirement: 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays per 6-week scheduling period
- Holiday coverage required for either July 4th or Labor Day
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending OR license accepted with proof of application and fingerprints submitted
- Current certifications required: BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- COVID vaccination required — no exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to float within a site and across the Legacy Health system as requested; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
- Assigned education modules must be completed within one week of assignment start
- Scrubs may be any color except black or camouflage
- Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy Health facility
- RTO must be finalized prior to submission; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment, and no more than 7 days of RTO per assignment
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- 13-week minimum contract length; candidates interested in a longer assignment are encouraged to indicate preference
