Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a NICU position at a children's hospital in Oregon, requiring prior travel experience and NRP certification.

Details

  • NICU position within a children's hospital facility
  • Patient population includes neonates and infants under one year of age
  • Floating required to PICU, Pediatric Acute (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow locations within the Legacy Health system
  • Charting via Epic EMR
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
  • Weekend requirement: 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays per 6-week scheduling period
  • Holiday coverage required for either July 4th or Labor Day
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending OR license accepted with proof of application and fingerprints submitted
  • Current certifications required: BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • COVID vaccination required — no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

  • Travelers are expected to float within a site and across the Legacy Health system as requested; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
  • Assigned education modules must be completed within one week of assignment start
  • Scrubs may be any color except black or camouflage
  • Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy Health facility
  • RTO must be finalized prior to submission; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment, and no more than 7 days of RTO per assignment
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
  • 13-week minimum contract length; candidates interested in a longer assignment are encouraged to indicate preference
