Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring telemetry experience and current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Tele unit that admits pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 13-week contract
• 3x12-hour night shifts (18:00–06:30)
• Minimum of 3 weekends required per 6-week period
• On-call placement is a possibility depending on unit needs
• Floating to other units is possible based on hospital needs
• Charting performed in Meditech

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS — PALS must be in hand prior to starting
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Med/Surg experience preferred; ambulatory experience also preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and will receive a adjusted pay rate
• Any scrub color is acceptable — professional appearance is expected
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO for the duration of the contract
• Candidates who were directly employed by this facility within the past 12 months are not eligible without prior authorization
• If a shift is called off, the traveler will be required to pick up an additional shift to make up the hours
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
