Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg (Neuro/Ortho/Peds) night shift position at a Level II Trauma facility in Marquette, MI, requiring 2+ years of adult experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• 7th floor Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit at a 225-bed specialty care hospital
• Level II Trauma Center offering a wide range of specialty services including Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, and Pediatrics
• Patient population includes all ages 28 days and older
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 24-bed unit with 1-2 supervisors on shift
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Common diagnoses include trauma, post-operative ortho/neuro cases, and general pediatrics (typically 0–3 pediatric rooms on average)
• EMR: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner)
• Floating required to other inpatient units
• 3 weekends every 6 weeks required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of adult Med/Surg experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• PALS preferred
• 2+ years of pediatric experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required
• Hospital is located in Marquette, MI — the largest community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and home to Northern Michigan University
