Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT certification, Epic proficiency, and Siemens experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center.
Details
- Work setting includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU at a community hospital and Level II Trauma Center
- Pediatric acute care and pediatric outpatient experience preferred
- CT scan procedures include abdomen/pelvis (with/without contrast), chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, vascular, and cardiac studies (calcium scoring, coronary angiography)
- Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, drainage, and CT colonography (preferred)
- Advanced imaging skills required including 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM, Friday through Sunday
- May be required to float to other campuses within the health system as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- Current BLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Proficiency with iSTAT creatinine and Power Ports required; PPAC training provided if necessary
- Experience with IV starts and peripheral IV placement required
- Experience with preparation and administration of contrast media required
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE required
- Procedural experience required (aspirations, biopsies, drainage, etc.)
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
- A valid driver's license is required to confirm address for the radius rule
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered, though candidates must be able to learn quickly and be ready to begin the assignment within 1 week of the start date
- Perform CT imaging across a broad range of body areas and clinical settings, including trauma, vascular, cardiac, and procedural work
- Charge/lead experience is preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Facility has a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Orientation includes non-billable online modules averaging 2–4 hours; hours vary by unit
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; requests submitted after will not be accepted
