Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position within a large Surgical Services department in Lexington, KY, working 4x10-hour day shifts with no call required.

Details

• Hospital-based Surgical Services department including Pre-Op, 20 ORs, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing
• Provides 24/7 inpatient and outpatient surgical care
• Day shift schedule: 4x10s, 6:45am–5:15pm
• No on-call requirements
• 18-week contract
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
• Candidate must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Delivers patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care within a high-volume surgical services environment
• Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative assessments, patient and family education, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Collaborates with an inter-professional team including surgeons and support staff who are highly trained in safe, quality surgical care
• Delegates and monitors patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
