Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Neuro/Ortho/Peds) night shift position in Marquette, MI, requiring 2+ years of adult experience and an active MI RN license.
Details
- Work on the 7th floor Med/Surg combination unit (Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics) of a 225-bed specialty care hospital
- 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages over 28 days, including neurological, orthopedic, and pediatric populations
- Common diagnoses include trauma, post-op ortho/neuro cases, and general pediatrics (averaging 0-3 pediatric rooms)
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
- 3 weekends required every 6 weeks
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to other inpatient units
- EMR: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner)
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Active AHA BLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of adult Med/Surg experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience (2+ years) preferred
- ADN or higher required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidate's permanent address must be 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

- Candidates may not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
