Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma OR position in Miami, FL, requiring Level 1 trauma experience and the ability to circulate across multiple surgical specialties on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Hospital-based Trauma Operating Room setting with 18 OR suites and 2 minor procedure rooms
• Trauma OR unit supported by orderlies, anesthesia techs, and unit secretaries in accordance with AORN staffing recommendations
• Patient population includes trauma, general, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgical cases
• Typical procedures include total joint replacements, robotic gynecologic oncology, and craniotomy procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• EMR system: Meditech (experience required)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Alternating weekends required
• On-call assignments required as part of a 24-hour trauma service

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience with trauma, or 1 year at a large institution with Level 1 trauma experience
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Ability to circulate trauma, general, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures required
• Meditech EMR experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required (Florida requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
