Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a large hospital setting
• May be required to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts): days run 7:00am–7:30pm and nights run 7:00pm–7:30am
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the facility, though preferred shift will be honored when possible

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent (non-travel) experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted for this requirement)
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; acceptable passing scores on both are required
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location
• After completing an assignment, travelers must wait a minimum of 6 months before starting another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location through this agency
• Two professional references are required for consideration
