Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Care (IMC) unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IMC/PCU background.
Details
- Work in a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit within a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
- Unit provides multiple levels of care including adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
- Patient population includes pre- and post-operative surgical, urology, and thoracic cases requiring bedside surgical care
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract
- Floating required to areas of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
- IMC or PCU experience required
- Dysrhythmia management skills required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required
- 1–2 prior travel assignments preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide pre- and post-operative bedside surgical nursing care within an IMC-level unit
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- PCU experience should clearly reflect surgical patient populations on your resume
