Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Eureka, CA, with high-risk OB experience and Epic EMR proficiency required.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting with 11 labor rooms and 15 beds
- High-risk OB patient population serving a culturally diverse community
- Average daily census of 15-20 patients with up to 20 visits per day
- RNs are expected to circulate on cesarean sections
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)
- Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, with travelers floated first; may also be expected to float between facilities within California
- Epic EMR experience required
- Post-partum experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- BLS certification required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including travel, registry, or permanent employment
