Description

American Traveler is hiring a Surgical RN for a 13-week OR assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience, with Open Heart experience preferred and MO or compact RN licensure required.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital OR/Surgery department
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-call required: Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–7:00 AM and Saturday–Sunday 7:00 AM–7:00 AM when scheduled
• Perioperative patient population spanning neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience required
• Open Heart experience preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, with indirect accountability to the House Supervisor
• Responsible for coordinating patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist throughout the perioperative process
• Directs and guides OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure continuity of care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services
