Description
Job Opportunity: RN Circulator (Surgery)
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM
Job Summary
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting for all age groups (neonates to older adults) using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
- Supervise and guide OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuous, quality patient care and efficient patient flow.
- Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital/unit policies and procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
- Serve as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
- On-call availability required:
- Monday-Friday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM (when scheduled)
- Saturday-Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (when scheduled)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of OR Circulate experience, with recent experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP) training
