Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic proficiency, AHA-issued certifications, and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.

Details

  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
  • 2 on-call shifts per 6-week scheduling period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within one hour
  • Block scheduling is not available for this position
  • Every other weekend shift required
  • Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
  • No floating requirements for this position
  • Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temp license accepted
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
  • Required certifications (all AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Minimum ASN degree required; BSN preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
  • TNCC highly preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and continuously modify individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
  • Execute nursing interventions and procedures specific to emergency department practice
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support the full care team
  • Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards and reporting or correcting hazards
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, staff, visitors, and families to foster a positive care environment
  • Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
