Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology department in Charlotte, NC, requiring ARRT certification and at least 2 years of experience with fluoroscopy, OR, portable, and ED imaging.
Details
- Work in a 244-bed acute care hospital's Radiology - Diagnostics department serving ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
- No trauma designation; facility is TJC Stroke accredited
- Services include X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine with Radiology Nursing support
- Department averages 120 studies per day, with higher volume on weekdays
- Inpatient census typically runs at full capacity (~224 patients)
- Imaging performed in the ED, fluoroscopy suite, OR (c-arm, O-arm, G-arm), and via portables
- EMR: Epic; RIS: Epic Radiant; PACS: Philips iSite
- Equipment includes Philips Diagnost R/F, Intelli C R/F, Shimadzu RadSpeed (ED), Shimadzu MD8 & Konica mKDR Xpress portables, GE OEC Elite C-arms, Mini C's Digital Flat Panel, Medtronic O-arm, and Globus G-arm
- 12-hour night shifts, Friday–Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (36 hours/week)
- On-call required up to 2 shifts per month as needed
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Experience with fluoroscopy, OR imaging, portable X-ray, and ED workflow required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
- At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Candidate's permanent address must be located 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic imaging including fluoroscopy, OR-based imaging (c-arm, O-arm, G-arm), portable studies, and ED imaging
- Guest Services and Transport staff support inpatient and observation patient movement
- Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
- RTO requires manager approval
- Black scrubs required
- Complimentary parking is available in surface lots and parking decks
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
