Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an OH or compact RN license in hand and a minimum of 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Large academic hospital setting
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population, including the ED
• Rotating day/night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (7:00–19:30 or 19:00–7:30)
• Shift assignments may vary based on operational needs, though preferred shifts will be honored when possible
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required; experience from a single location preferred but combined experience is acceptable
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required; travel experience in the specialty is accepted
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required
• Holiday coverage required — travelers must work at least every other holiday
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system; a minimum 6-month break is required before starting a new assignment at any location within the same health system
