Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, and BLS certifications along with at least 1 year of GE equipment experience and stroke protocol proficiency.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center setting including outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services
- CT Tech unit supporting adult and pediatric patient populations
- 5x8 day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirement
- Call coverage required
- Float requirement between ER and Main CT departments
- Uses GE and Philips CT equipment along with PACS imaging system
- Charting is done in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
- First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience
- ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, and BLS certifications required
- Valid state license required if applicable
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- GE equipment experience within the last year required
- Stroke protocol efficiency required
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficient in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis imaging including contrast studies
- Experience with head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT imaging
- Experience with chest imaging including cardiac and vascular studies preferred
- Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media administration, and radiation safety
- Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills preferred
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest specialties
- May assist with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and vascular CTA
- Support both adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient imaging needs
- Scrubs of any color permitted except reddish orange
- Parking is facility paid
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius unless accepting the local rate
- Returning staff eligible to reapply after 3 months, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process for consideration
- Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
