Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Short-term acute care hospital setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center (1,500+ beds)
- Neuro ICU unit with average patient ratios of 1:2 on both day and night shifts
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
- Prior experience at a large Trauma Center required
- No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination and booster are required, with religious or medical exemptions considered
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
