Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro ICU position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring at least 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios average 1:2 on both days and nights
• Neuro ICU unit within a large, short-term acute care hospital with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center setting
• Charting performed in Epic
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available
• Parking is available at an additional cost of $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license; pending license accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
