Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of recent CT experience for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke facility requiring both Kansas and Missouri licensure.
Details
- Hospital-based CT Scan unit at a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekends are required
- Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
- Procedures include head scans without and/or with contrast, and preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Starting peripheral IVs is required
- GE and Siemens CT equipment is used
- Charting is performed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CT specialty experience required, with at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT), and ARRT (R) certifications required
- Both Kansas and Missouri state licenses, or a compact license, must be in hand at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Proficiency with GE and Siemens CT equipment required
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, head CT protocols, and peripheral IV insertion required
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional references required: at least one must be supervisor-level or above, and the second may be a charge RN; all references must be from someone who has worked with the candidate within the past year
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
- Blue scrubs are required
- Pre-employment compliance modules averaging 10–15 hours are required and must be completed prior to the start date
- No on-call requirement
