Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist for a pediatric echo lab position requiring ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of experience, with Epic proficiency required.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient echo lab serving a neonate through geriatric patient population with a pediatric focus
- Daily caseload of approximately 10 studies
- Primary equipment includes Philips Epiq ultrasound machines and Merge PACS
- Epic EMR experience is required
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating weekend coverage approximately every 4th weekend with some flexibility
- On-call required on a rotating basis covering days and some weekends (0730–0700)
- No floating within the facility or to sister facilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiac sonography / echo tech experience
- Active ARDMS certification required, including RDCS (PE)
- Current BLS required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; proof of address required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Perform echocardiographic studies across a broad patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric patients
- Pending state license acceptance is considered on a case-by-case basis
- RTO is limited to 7 total days within the 13-week assignment; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
