Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic experience.

Details

• 26-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a 528-bed tertiary care hospital
• Specializes in post-PCI, post-MI, pacemaker, and AICD patients, as well as cardiac pharmacological interventions
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7
• Charting via Epic (required)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; valid NIHSS must be included for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Skills required: cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral IV care and management, respiratory support (nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen, non-invasive airway management), and isolation precautions
