Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience to work independently across CT and General X-Ray in an acute care hospital setting in Enumclaw, WA.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Radiology department staffed with 1 CT scanner, 1 X-Ray room, and 1 portable unit
- CT studies include W/WO contrast head, spine, abdomen, pelvis, CTA PE, runoff, and extremities
- General X-Ray studies include chest, PICC line placement, tube placement, and trauma/fracture extremities
- Average volume is 2–6 CT scans and 1–4 X-Rays per shift
- Float coverage between CT and General X-Ray is required
- 4x10-hour shifts, Thursday–Sunday; Thursday/Friday CT 5:00 AM–5:30 PM, Saturday/Sunday X-Ray 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
- No call required
- Radiologist is on-site Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; TRA Telerad covers all other times
- EMR: Epic (experience required); PACS: McKesson
- Equipment includes a Toshiba 64-Slice CT Scanner, Carestream X-Ray room, and GE Portable X-Ray unit
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Active WA state license required; license required if applicable
- Active BLS (AHA) and ARRT (CT) certification required — pending certifications are not accepted
- Must be able to work independently as the sole imaging staff member during the shift
- Ability to start IVs independently, as no RN is present in the department
- Epic EMR experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Must provide own radiation badge; facility may assist if absolutely necessary
- Epic training takes place in Tacoma; on-site orientation is one week
- Candidate must wear scrubs of their own choosing — scrubs are not provided
- If a holiday falls on a scheduled shift, the traveler is expected to work it
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
