Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a high-acuity, rural hospital in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a 20-bed Emergency Department in a rural, high-acuity hospital environment
- Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint facility with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
- Patient population is mixed/various acuity levels across all age groups
- Patient ratio is 1:4, with surge ratios up to 1:5
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Paragon
- Preferred experience includes peripheral IV, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; specific AHA certs as applicable to the role)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
Additional Information
- Fast-paced, high-acuity rural ED environment
- Scrub colors: black, navy, or royal blue
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel position
