Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting with a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) focus, also covering Critical Care (CCU), Neuro ICU, and Step-Down units
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Floating to Step-Down ICU is required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; education verification will be required for consideration
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and applicable state laws
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans per physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
