Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit night shift position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a 158-bed acute care hospital in an Intermediate Care/Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a (3x12-hour shifts)
• Patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Every other weekend is required
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Epic is the EMR used; experience with Epic is required
• 12-week contract (approximately 3 months)

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; MO state license must be valid at time of consideration (pending IL license may be acceptable — note must be included)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; candidates within 75 miles are subject to a local rate

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Navy scrubs are required
• No parking cost at the facility
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
