Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of experience, TNCC certification, and triage skills, with night shift and every other weekend coverage.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
  • Inner city ED patient population spanning adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Triage experience required as part of core ED duties
  • Medication management using Accudose and Omnicell systems
  • Charting and documentation performed in Cerner EMR
  • SBAR communication framework used for clinical handoffs
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
  • Every other weekend required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active CT or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Proficiency in triage required
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Dark blue scrubs required
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
