Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring flexibility across multiple surgical service lines and participation in call and weekend shifts.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room unit
- Supports multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgeries
- 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 09:00-21:30
- Requires flexibility to work weekends
- Requires participation in on-call rotation
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Primary source license/certificate verification required with copy of state-specific registry
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties, including prepping the OR and positioning patients for procedures
- Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
- Delegate and supervise team members while executing urgent interventions as needed
- Assist with control and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment
- Demonstrate computer proficiency for patient care documentation systems
