Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient day shift position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current NM licensure (if applicable).
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting within a physical medicine and therapy department
- Shift hours are 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current NM Physical Therapist license required if applicable
- BLS certification from the AHA required
- Strong skills in assessment/evaluation, decision-making, time management, and interpersonal communication required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and administering PT modalities such as therapeutic exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, gait and balance training, and soft tissue mobilization
- Collaborates with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team throughout the care process
- Directs and oversees PT Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants during treatments
- Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, completing discharge summaries, and ensuring charges align with treatment session records
- Dress code requires khaki pants and a white polo
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
- 2 professional references are required for consideration
- A current primary source verification of licensure and copies of active certifications are required for consideration
