Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and 1-2 years of acute care experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room of a 217-bed regional health center
• 17-bed unit primarily treating adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with approximately 40 visits per day
• Uses MediTech EHR system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Call coverage required to support 24/7 daily volume needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
• 1-2 years of acute care experience required
• Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start with no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a primarily adult and geriatric patient population
• Facility offers services including Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics, Wound Care, and more
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
