Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and 1-2 years of acute care experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Room of a 217-bed regional health center
- 17-bed unit primarily treating adult and geriatric patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with approximately 40 visits per day
- Uses MediTech EHR system
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Call coverage required to support 24/7 daily volume needs
Requirements
- Active RN license (IA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
- 1-2 years of acute care experience required
- Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
- All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start with no instant or statewide searches accepted
- Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
- 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
- Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to a primarily adult and geriatric patient population
- Facility offers services including Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics, Wound Care, and more
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Monday or Tuesday start dates accommodated
