Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position in Iowa, requiring Epic EMR experience and AWHONN or I-EFM certification, with multi-campus floating responsibilities.

Details

• 45-bed L&D unit with 2 ORs across multiple campuses, including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Patient population includes high-risk OB, antepartum, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
• Common drips administered include magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
• Epic EMR experience required
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Travel nurses are required to float across all campuses

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN or I-EFM (intermediate or advanced EFM accepted)
• Minimum of one completed travel assignment within the previous 12 months required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• High-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility required; Level I trauma facility experience highly preferred
• Antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery experience required
• Post-partum/mother-baby experience preferred
• Driver's license required
• One supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside beyond 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel pay rate
• Travelers are required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Candidates who were previously employed by the client facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
