Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and proven high-acuity, high-volume delivery center background.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
• High-risk, high-acuity patient population
• Experience within a high-volume delivery center performing 200–300 deliveries per month is required
• Floating to Postpartum required 1–2 shifts per week
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic (Stork module)

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license required; if Iowa license is not active, proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact license must be provided
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, with experience within the past year at a larger, high-volume delivery center
• High-risk and high-acuity L&D experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Scrub experience preferred
• Epic Stork experience preferred
• Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the winter holiday period (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
