Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient-focused position at a smaller California facility, with a mix of inpatient and acute rehab coverage.
Details
- Smaller facility with primary focus on outpatient pediatric speech therapy coverage
- Mix of outpatient, inpatient, and acute rehab unit (ARU) evaluations and treatment
- Occasional home health responsibilities
- Weekend coverage includes adult acute rehab evaluations and treatment as needed
- Schedule is Thursday–Monday or Sunday–Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule
Requirements
- Current and active California SLP license required if applicable
- Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant SLP experience
- Experience with pediatric outpatient and adult acute rehab populations
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Builds rapport and communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety
- May assist with clinical supervision of SLP assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
