Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active AHA certifications including NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years of L&D experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting preferred
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening when necessary, and administers medications and IV infusions including blood products
- Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Workers who have previously been placed at this facility may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks; after 26 weeks, a 6-month separation period is required before reapplying
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
