Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of ED experience, trauma experience, and night shift availability.

• Adult Emergency Department setting in a hospital environment
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Travel and trauma experience required for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
• Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Compliance requirements for this facility are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior contracts are limited to one extension, not to exceed 26 total weeks)
